On August 8, 2024,Coinpoker signed two new ambassadors: Patrick Leonard, who has recently fought for transparency in poker rooms and the security of online poker, and former footballer Mario Mosböck, who had a great time at the 2023 Triton Super High Roller.

The CoinPoker pro team is not very large. The last significant addition was famous streamer Fernando “JNandez” Habegger nine months ago. The room recently made two significant moves:

Patrick Leonard and Mario Mosbock announced on their social media that they became CoinPoker ambassadors as of August 8, 2024.

Tony G welcomed the new ambassadors as we could see him at the VIP PLO$25/$50 tables.

What's so interesting about Mario and Patrick?

Mario Mosböck

Mosbock played soccer until 2017 when he decided to stop combining the two disciplines and dedicate himself entirely to poker.

He had a great friend and ally in elite player Fedor Holz, GGPoker ambassador. This helped him boost his career quickly. In April 2021, he won the $1,000 SCOOP Main Event for $839,000.

Mario rose to worldwide fame in 2023 at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Monte Carlo, where the Austrian won almost $3.5M competing against the world's best players.

Mosböck shared about this new stage of his career:

Mario Mosbock About Coin Poker

“I have partnered with CoinPoker as an official ambassador. Together with Patrick, our mission is to guide new leaders to build the best online poker room in the world. This great challenge will only be successful by helping the community, and we need your help along the way.

Our idea is for the site to operate in the way that players long for: transparent, fair, safe. I am committed to working only based on the interests of players, both inside and outside the company.”

Patrick Leonard

The Briton was introduced to poker at university, and just a year and a half after graduating, he became the best player of 2014.

Patrick has always considered himself an online player. During his career, he has won more than $20M. His biggest cash was second place at the $25,000 WSOPC Ring Event #8 $10M GTD, where he received $1,611,342.

Leonard has earned “only” $3M in live tournaments. His biggest win was at the 2017 Bellagio Cup XII ($475,940).

He is one of the creators of bitB Staking, a staking pool and poker school. He was an ambassador for partypoker for many years, responsible for the tournament schedule. In recent years Patrick has tried to use his influence to fight for transparency in poker rooms and improved security in online poker.

On social network X (formerly Twitter), Leonard shared his goals as an ambassador for the room:

Patrick Leonard About Coin Poker

“I joined CoinPoker as a strategic ambassador with the mission to help new leaders create the best and safest online poker room in the world. These will be my goals:

  • Security and transparency: ensuring all voices are heard, implementing innovative measures to combat bots and any threats to game integrity, ensuring funds are segregated with proof of reserves, managing the roadmap for future security measures
  • Growth: growing the team of players in the room and working with influencers, innovation, and efficiency, improving the software
  • Communication: collaborating with all stakeholders, managing negative press directly, being available to talk to any active player
