Unibet Open Returns to Malta in the Fall

The popular European tourney series will be taking place between September 28th and October 2nd, 2022.

First Unibet Open Malta to Take Place Since 2019

The Unibet Open Malta series was one of the many things the dreaded coronavirus pandemic put on hold in the past few years. But, thankfully, it's now back.

It took place last time between September 11th and September 15th, 2019 at Casino Malta in St.Julian's. It was a great success, with a record-breaking attendance. The €1,000 Main Event was won by Alan Carr from the United Kingdom for €53,400 then.

Now, he and others will have a chance to capture a Unibet Open title once again on the small Mediterranean island nation.

The tournament series is in its 15th season, and their much-anticipated Malta stop is scheduled to take place between September 28th and October 2nd, 2022, at the InterContinental Hotel back in St.Julian's. The venue is the country's largest 5-star hotel.

There are currently 17 events on the schedule. It starts with the €330 No Limit Hold'em Unibet Opener on September 28th and ends with a €175 Progressive KO Bounty NLHE event on October 2nd.

In between, you can look forward to a €175 Progressive Superknockout NLHE event starting on September 29th, a €110 NLHE Flipout event starting on September 30th, and a €220 Pot Limit Omaha event starting on October 1st.

Day1A for the €1,000 Unibet Open Malta Main Event starts on September 29th. There are a total of 3 Day1 flights. There's also a €240 satellite that runs on site. The Main Event is the highest buy-in event on the schedule.
