$6,345,000 GTD Venom Special Series on the Winning Poker Network
The US-friendly Winning Poker Network has announced the schedule of the next stage of the Venom Special series, timed to coincide with the flagship tournament of the same name.
Features of the series
From January 18 to 29, 2024, PokerKing, ACRPoker, and Black Chip Poker will host the $6,345,000 GTD Venom Special Series.
The festival will be timed to coincide with the Winning Poker Network flagship tournament – The Venom. The series includes 52 events with buy-ins from $16.5 to $1,050. Most MTTs (36) feature entries of $109, $250 and $630.
The average guarantee of the series is about $110K, the minimum – $40K, and the maximum – $400K. The biggest guarantee will be for two $1,050 events:
- Sunday Banana PKO (two days)
- Venom Special - $400,000 GTD
Only two Omaha tournaments are scheduled, guaranteeing $50k for $630.
All events in the series have a deep structure: the blinds grow for 10-20 minutes, and the starting stacks are from 150BB. The very first tournaments start every day at 14:05-16:05 CET.
In the poker client, the tournaments can be found in the lobby through the search bar by entering "Venom Special."
Satellites
Venom Special is one of the most expensive festivals in the WPN rooms. However, players can get into each event by paying the buy-ins and also through a standard grid of step satellites:
- For $630 – $6.60 > $66*
- For $290 – $2.50 > $33
- For $109 – $1.10 > $11
- For $55 – $0.55 > $5.50
*The intermediate ticket can be used in the last step satellite (in which $630 tickets are awarded) and in any tournament worth $66.
