WorldPokerTour to host First-Ever Texas series

The WorldPokerTour continues to expand its series geography. The first-ever WPT Prime event in Texas has been announced for Fall 2025. The series will be held at The Lodge Card Club in Austin. The $1,100 main event will have a $1 million guarantee.

New WPT Prime The Lodge

This fall, the World Poker Tour (WPT) series will be held in Texas for the first time.

The WPT Prime festival will be held from September 28 to October 13, 2025, at The Lodge Card Club in Austin (Round Rock).

The 5-day (October 9-13) $1,100 Main Event has a $1,000,000 guarantee. So far, it is known that in addition to the Main Event, Texas will host the HalfMilly event with a $400 buy-in and a $500,000 guarantee. The full schedule of the series will be announced soon.

WPT CEO Adam Pliska noted that The Lodge is “an outstanding location with a passionate community of players, perfect for the first Texas leg of the WPT series.”

Why The Lodge?

Although traditional casinos and online poker are banned in Texas, TheLodge operates on the “social poker club” model: players pay a subscription fee instead of a rake.

The Lodge has already become a notable platform: the club organizes regular broadcasts, live cash games with famous pros. The club is co-owned by famous poker pro Doug Polk, who is also an ambassador for the ClubWPT Gold poker room.

So it is quite possible that online satellites for the WPT Prime Lodge Championship will be held on this site, which will make it easier for players from other states to come to Texas. And Texas poker fans now have the opportunity to take part in a world-class series in a home environment.
