Bryn Kenney wins Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open High Roller
The biggest winner on the live tournament circuit, Bryn Kenney, added another title to his career. The American, founder of the 4Poker online room, won the $25,500 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, collecting $487,990.
First title of the year
Since its launch in 2013, the SHRPO has become one of the most famous series in the United States, played outside of Las Vegas. This year, the festival had a record number of events (61), and the total prizes almost doubled the guaranteed prize pools.
The series included three high rollers with buy-ins starting at $10,000. Erik Seidel won the “cheapest,” while another equally famous player won the other.
4Poker founder Bryn Kenney took first place at the $25.5k Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, cashing $487,990.
The event collected 67 total entries and only 9 players made the money.
Curiously, Brin won his last tournament in August 2023 at the Triton Poker Series in London. This year, he had big cash at the same series in Montenegro ($580,000) in a tournament with a buy-in six times larger than the SHRPO.
Final Table
Bryn Kenney made it into the TOP 9 with the third stack with 36BB, while the leader, Alex Foxen, had more than half of all chips in play. Along the way, Kenney managed to catch up with Foxen by knocking out several players from the final table:
- Jonathan Jaffe: AA vs AK
- Darren Elias: AT vs A4, with a four on the flop and a ten on the river
After this, Bryn's stack was 78BB.
In the top three, the 4Poker ambassador beat Foxen himself by winning an all-in preflop with AK vs. AQ.
Despite his vast chip advantage, Kenney agreed to make a deal with Daniel Sepiol, who is making his seventh final table this year after winning his first WSOP gold bracelet. Remember that Sepiol won the WPT World Championship Main Event in 2023.
