Poker rooms are always experimenting with new formats to boost action and draw in players with unusual mechanics. ACR Poker’s new Skip-It MTT format is aimed at those who enjoy tournaments but don’t want to grind for hours just to reach the money. In this format, most of the tournament is played by AI.
Skip-It is a multi-day tournament format in which Day 1 is played by an AI-controlled agent.
Who is this format for?
According to the FAQ, AI-driven tournaments are not meant to replace traditional MTTs. Skip-It is designed for players who enjoy the game but don’t want to commit long hours to grinding.
The Skip-It MTT consists of two phases:
In the ACR Poker client, select the Poker → Skip-It tab and register for the tournament.
Three flight types are available:
This stage is played by an AI “racer” (you can choose between 1 and 5 entries, each requiring a separate buy-in). At this point, the player’s direct involvement in that flight ends.
You can select any racer: it doesn’t impact performance. All AI agents operate at the same skill level, with only visual differences between them.
In each flight, 20% of players reaches the money, and stacks from multiple flights are combined. Each flight lasts approximately five minutes.

A connection day. The game begins on Sunday at 19:00 GMT, and play follows a standard tournament format.
There is no sit-out option. If a player doesn't show up at the start or their time bank runs out, an AI "racer" will play for them (they can also pre-select the AI).
Day 2 starts the ITM. Players can also qualify directly for the final table for $26.25 with a 25BB stack.
Players who reach the finals on Day 1 can take the add-on.
Skip-It is built for players who enjoy MTTs but don’t want to invest several hours into a single tournament. Instead of grinding through large early fields, you effectively bypass the opening stages and jump straight into the action where the prizes are decided.
The format is best suited for recreational players and those who treat poker as entertainment rather than a primary source of income.
It’s another example of ACR Poker experimenting with hybrid formats that blend elements of casino-style gameplay with online poker: an approach also seen on Pinco Poker. The focus here is on speed and simplicity, which the format delivers, but skill has a much lower impact on the final result in these tournaments.
