In this article, we share our firsthand experience of attending the iGB Live conference, held in London each summer.
Few industry events bring the gaming sector together quite like iGB Live. The move from its former winter schedule to a summer event in London has clearly paid off. Each year, more than 15,000 attendees gather to meet representatives from over 200 gaming companies, explore new opportunities, and build lasting partnerships.

For the Worldpokerdeals team, which travels from across the globe to attend these conferences, the goal is slightly different. The era of closing major deals on the exhibition floor is largely behind us. Today, our priority is strengthening long-term relationships with strategic partners through face-to-face conversations, something that virtual meetings still can't fully replicate. Of course, we also sign agreements with new poker rooms and casinos.
Day 0, June 30, began with the Welcome Drinks event, traditionally held with the support of WPN (ACR Poker). This was an informal get-together for networking, held in the renovated Canary Wharf area.

The first day of the conference began with scheduled meetings: Chico, WPN, 888Poker, BCPoker, Stake Poker, WPT Global, partypoker, and other partners. At these meetings, we reviewed the results of the past year and outlined the next steps for expanding our affiliate programs and enhancing our partnerships.
These improvements will help us secure even better promotions and offers for all our players.
An interesting fact: our team consists of people of different nationalities, so we usually divide meetings among team members based on their language, which helps create closer rapport with company representatives who speak Spanish, English, Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian, and other languages.
One thing that made this year's conference especially memorable was that it took place during the World Cup. As a result, nearly every meeting began with a discussion of the previous day's matches or the latest odds for the games ahead.

After the first day of the conference, we headed to The Fox for the official networking event, where we watched England take on the Republic of Congo. Following the final whistle, we celebrated with the local fans before joining a private dinner hosted by WPN for its closest partners. During the evening, ACR Poker presented each guest with a commemorative gift engraved with the message: "Thank you for your trust and partnership throughout this journey. 2021–2026."
In his toast, WPN's Head of Affiliates recalled something Phil Nagy had said during our visit to the company's offices a few months earlier: "We hope to continue dealing cards for the next 25 years." The quote carried special significance, as WPN was celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, having been founded in 2001.

The second day of the conference was a bit calmer. We visited various companies' booths, participated in several giveaways (where, continuing tradition, we didn't win anything other than good spirits and a few laughs), and networked with new potential partners. After that, we began preparing for the main event of the evening – the iGB Awards ceremony, where we were nominated in the "Best Poker Affiliate" category.
Of course, we also had time for sightseeing: we visited the Tower of London, Big Ben, the Greenwich Meridian, enjoyed international cuisine, and visited other iconic sites in the city during our time off from the World Cup matches. It's worth noting that the UK also hosted other global events that same week, including the Wimbledon Open, the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and a Metallica concert.
Many companies believe that once a deal is signed, maintaining relationships through online communication is enough. At Worldpokerdeals, we take a different approach. We believe that face-to-face meetings are essential for building strong, long-term partnerships. That's why we see traveling halfway around the world to meet people we've previously only interacted with online as an investment that's always +EV.
