Chris Moorman and Katie Lindsay join Americas Cardroom as ambassadors

Only three months after his departure from 888Poker, Chris Moorman has announced that he has joined Team Pro at the Americas Cardroom. And this time, together with his wife, Katie Lindsay. What could this mean?

The first family of ambassadors

Over the past year, WPN's flagship poker room, Americas Cardroom, has nearly doubled its team. In addition to security specialist Randy "Nanonoko" Lew, they signed the following players:

Chris Moneymaker;
Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet;
Vanessa Kade;
Dmitry “psycho29rus” D'yachkov.

Yesterday, a message appeared on the official Twitter of the poker room:

Indeed, until that day, no other poker room had thought to make a married couple members of its team.

While Chris is very well-known in the community, his wife is a "dark horse," although she has been playing poker for 17 years and has won almost $2M in prize money during this time. The most famous story happened to Katie this January in the USA when she reached the heads-up of the WSOP Circuit and ended up losing against her husband.

Why ACR?

Moorman's decision came as a big surprise. After his departure from the 888Poker Team in July this year, we assumed that even if Chris signed a new ambassador contract soon, he would most likely choose the GGNetwork. Over this year, he preferred to play tournaments there.

Of course, we do not know the real background of the events that led to the appearance of the first family of ambassadors. Still, the fact that Katie is a US citizen could play a significant role in this decision. After all, Chris has barely played at ACR in recent years. The same goes to live poker events in the US.

It is also important that Moorman, according to the press release, will not just wear the poker room logo but will also host poker streams on the official Americas Cardroom's Twitch channel. It is quite possible that a dedicated promotion may also await us like it was with Moneymaker. And the personality of the famous UK high roller should attract the attention of European players.
