CoinPoker Allows Players to Use Trackers and HUDs
The cryptocurrency poker room CoinPoker became the first to lift the ban on using trackers. Now, all CoinPoker players can use an external HUD at the tables.
CoinPoker Official Statement
CoinPoker representatives confirmed through different channels (2+2, Discord, email) that:
“The security team decided that HUDs will no longer be banned at CoinPoker.”
At the same time, the room confirmed that they could not do much to prevent their use and that potential issues with the format of current hand histories would be reviewed.
Previously, players could analyze their hand histories only in post-game sessions and with the client closed.
How do trackers work at CoinPoker?
Currently, only Hand2Note or DriveHUD work directly in the CoinPoker client; other trackers require converters (Holdem Manager 3 or PokerTracker 4).
We confirmed with room representatives that hand converters can be used, as they have been included in the list of permitted software.
Worldpokerdeals players will get a free license for a hand converter when registering their CoinPoker account with us.
CoinPoker has made an unusual decision by modern standards. It is the first site to lift the ban on using trackers, contrary to all the rooms that are increasingly placing stronger bans on using external software.
We can expect an influx of new regular players at the CoinPoker tables, while the room will have to find new ways to continue attracting casual gamblers.
In the future, to level the playing field for all players, including those not using external trackers, the CoinPoker client will probably have an integrated HUD, and external HUDs will be banned again.
