GGPoker at the peak of popularity: 600,000 players online

Record-Breaking Evening

The other day, a message appeared on the official GGPoker page on the X social network (formerly Twitter) about reaching the 500,000 simultaneous connections mark. However, the prepared banner quickly became outdated.

Already late in the evening on September 7, 2025, the counter in the client showed 600,686 players online - a new absolute world record.

GGPoker representatives thanked the audience, noting that the stable operation of the application with such an influx of users is in itself a great achievement.

For comparison: the former industry leader PokerStars set a record of 307,000 simultaneous connections in 2009, which seemed unattainable. Today, such figures are the norm for GGPoker on weekends.

The record was made possible largely thanks to the WSOP Online. Event #16: $215 Beat the Pros Bounty NLH was held that evening, and attracted over 7,000 entries. Additional traffic was provided by the series' low-cost side events, with registrations ranging from 17,000 to 27,000 each.

Reaching the 600K+ connections mark is yet another confirmation of GGPoker's undisputed leadership in the industry - both in terms of the number of players and the quality of the platform.

Today, no other poker room can compete with GGPoker in terms of the number of players or the scale of promotions and tournaments. However, competitors such as PokerStars, WPT Global and the iPoker network will certainly look for new ways to attract players' attention.

At the same time, the record is not a reason for GGPoker to stop. Just a few years ago, it seemed that PokerStars' dominance was unshakable, but the situation has changed. Therefore, players have the right to expect new ideas and solutions from GGPoker that will further develop online poker.
