A week ago, GGPoker Network published the first results of its fight against dishonest players (including those who use GTO tools like charts), and shortly after, they released that 4,329 players received a share of $1,175,305 seized from banned accounts.
After the Fedor Kruse controversy, in October 2020 GGPoker Network establish its position against RTA. The site then shared incredible results in terms of seized money and said that players would be compensated.
Now, several grinders posted on forums that they have begun to receive such payments. Although no specific nicknames were disclosed, almost everyone agreed that the $1,175,305 paid was seized from Kruse.
4,329 GGPoker players got a refund, $272 on average per account.
This is a significant number of refunds in a short time. Even the streamer Scott "Pokerbrahs" who plays MTT reported a payment, although it was small — $26,06.
A teammate of Patrick Leonard commented via Twitter about the refund he got and the connection to Kruse:
The player believes that the whole story with bans and refunds is connected to the German grinder. However, such small payments for high rollers are confusing.
We can only assume that the network decided to compensate all players who played against cheaters, which is why there were so many victims with only 13 banned accounts with seized money.
Nevertheless, it's still not clear whether or not Fedor Kruse was banned from GGPoker. On 2+2, another message referred to the subject:
Have you ever received a refund from GGPoker?
