CoinPoker heads our list as a USDT poker site with the widest game choice of the six, from three Omaha variants to Short Deck. Its T&C list India as restricted, yet it accepts Indian players, and we know of no problems with their play or withdrawals.

Precise Interactive Inc. runs CoinPoker under a license from Anjouan (Union of Comoros). No documents are needed at sign-up, but the terms let the operator verify identity, address and source of funds at any time and hold a withdrawal until verification is complete.

BCPoker is the poker site the BC.Game crypto casino launched in 2025. It holds a license from Anjouan Licensing Services Inc. (Comoros). The cashier takes 17 cryptocurrencies, BTC, USDT, USDC and ETH among them.

Most of the action is found at low-stakes 6-max and 8-max Hold'em tables. The lobby also includes PLO5, small daily MTTs, Spin&Go tournaments starting at $0.25, and All-in or Fold games. Traffic is still well below the levels seen at major international poker sites, but the lineups are generally softer.

Stake Poker

Stake Poker gives you a soft field but neither a welcome bonus nor poker rakeback. It opened in September 2024 inside Stake.com, a casino and sportsbook with UFC and Everton among its partners. Stake.com has run since 2017 under a Curaçao license, operated by Medium Rare N.V.

Cash runs from $0.01/$0.02 to $2.50/$5, mostly 9-max Hold'em, plus 7-max PLO, PLO5, PLO6 and AoF, and the cash tables carry a Bad Beat Jackpot. Two or three MTTs start every hour with buy-ins up to $100, topped by a $15,000 GTD on Sunday.

PokerPlanets

PokerPlanets launched in May 2025 as the successor to the closed PokerStars Sochi and took over its player base. The operator holds Curaçao license OGL/2024/1469/0855. The site accepts players from India but has no rupee accounts or local payment methods, so Indian players fund it in USDT, USDC, ETH or BTC. Withdrawals need verification first and are capped at $3,000 a day, $10,000 a week and $25,000 a month.

Nearly all the action is 6-max Hold'em at the micros. Omaha, PLO5 included, runs up to $0.50/$1, Spin&Win buy-ins are $0.50, $3 and $10, and MTT buy-ins reach $55.

You choose your welcome offer in the cashier: 100% up to $600, or up to 80% rakeback paid in chests. After that, PokerPlanets Rewards, its loyalty program, pays 15–40% rakeback, also in chests. Apps for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS come from the official site.

ACR Poker

ACR Poker is the largest poker site in the Winning network, with a high proportion of American players. It is licensed by the Offshore Finance Authority of Anjouan (ALSI-202607066-FI2).

In the cash games lobby, the bulk of the action runs at 6-max Hold'em and Omaha tables with stakes up to $200/$400. Rarer formats include Stud tables and Bomb Pots. ACR also runs the biggest tournament series of our six: the Online Super Series (OSS), whose guarantees have topped $50M, and the Venom, with multimillion-dollar guarantees.

ACR's loyalty scheme pays up to 65% rakeback, the highest standing rate of the six: next comes BCPoker's VIP at up to 50%, and PokerPlanets' 80% is a welcome option, not a standing program.

CrorePlay

CrorePlay launched in 2025 for India alone, with Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir excluded. It discloses no operator and holds no gaming license, Indian or offshore, and that's a red flag. The site says its RNG is certified by iTech Labs, Gaming Labs and BMM Testlabs.

Almost half the traffic is PLO5, with NLH and PLO 4/5/6 tables from $0.05/$0.10 and MTT buy-ins of $2–$1,000. You play in a desktop browser or the iOS and Android apps and pay in crypto: USDT, Bitcoin, Solana, BNB, Tron, Cardano, Toncoin or Dogecoin. Keep no more on the account than a session needs, and test a withdrawal early.

Is online poker legal in India?

The short answer is no – real-money online poker is banned in India, and there is no regulated market to play on legally. On August 21, 2025, the Indian Parliament passed a law completely banning real-money games on the internet, including poker, fantasy sports, and rummy. The law is called the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, and it prohibits the organization and conduct of online games for money.

The President signed it on August 22, 2025, months before the Act took effect. The government justifies such strict measures by the need to protect young people and people with gambling addiction; by its count, online money games affect about 45 crore Indians, with losses above ₹20,000 crore.

What changed on May 1, 2026?

Starting May 1, 2026, with the Act and the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2026 in force, a nationwide regulator has begun operating in India — the Online Gaming Authority of India (OGAI). This body is responsible for classifying online games, enforcing compliance with the law, handling user complaints and coordinating with banks and law enforcement.

In practice, this means tighter market oversight, decided game by game. Free-to-play formats stay outside the money-games ban, but the final Rules dropped the blanket exemption for social games: the government can require a game to register.

Can the Indian players face any penalties?

Not under the federal Act: it sets no penalties for players. Its penalties are:

• Offering or facilitating online money games: up to 3 years in prison and/or a fine of up to ₹1 crore.
• Repeat offenses: 3–5 years and ₹1–2 crore.
• Advertising them: up to 2 years and/or up to ₹50 lakh.

Banks are also barred from processing payments for these games, and the government can block illegal platforms under the IT Act. Some state laws go further: Tamil Nadu's, for one, punishes the player too. We are not lawyers; this is a summary of the penalty provisions, not legal advice.

Is the ban being challenged?

Yes, in the Supreme Court, and the Act stands with no stay. Petitions from the Delhi, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh High Courts were transferred to the Supreme Court on September 8, 2025, and on August 5, 2026, it agreed to hear them on the merits.

In a separate ruling on May 27, 2026, the court upheld the Tamil Nadu and Karnataka laws: states may ban betting on games of skill, poker and rummy included. That ruling concerns state laws and says nothing about the federal Act.

What happened to PokerBaazi, Adda52, Spartan and PokerStars India?

Every major Indian operator switched off real-money poker in August 2025; we've found none that brought cash games back, and some now live on as free poker. Several international poker sites followed them out of India. Here is where the best-known brands stand:

• PokerBaazi first kept its client running for play-money practice. In February 2026 Moonshine Technology, PokerBaazi's parent company, moved the brand to free, ad-supported poker under its subsidiary Get Zapped Technologies, registered in England; removing the ads costs ₹499 a month or ₹999 for three months.
• PokerStars India had run on Junglee's platform since March 2024. In August 2025, following the Act, it stopped real-money play and deposits as Flutter announced its exit from India; only free tournaments with electronic prizes remain.
• Adda52, Spartan Poker and MPL Poker shut their cash games in the first days, and we found no sign of a return.
• Natural8's Indian site, natural8in.com, has closed for good, India is missing from natural8.com's sign-up list, and GGPoker doesn't take Indian players either (our Natural8 country guide).
• WPT Global has left India: since October 1, 2025, Indian accounts can only withdraw.

How do Indian players deposit and withdraw?

Pay in crypto: now that the Act is in force, Indian banks and payment systems may not process transactions for online money games. UPI and bank transfers do still appear in some offshore poker sites' cashiers.

In these conditions, cryptocurrencies remain almost the only instrument for transactions with poker sites. Stablecoins on low-fee networks, such as USDT on TRC-20, keep transfer costs down.

The Act has been in force since May 1, 2026, and no Indian poker operator we know of has reopened its cash tables. Pick a site by the games and stakes you play:

• CoinPoker spreads the most formats and, like Stake, starts at $0.01/$0.02.
• BCPoker's micro lineups run softer than the big sites'.
• PokerPlanets is mostly micro-stakes 6-max.
