Speed Poker returns to iPoker Network
The iPoker Network recovered the old version of fast-fold poker — Speed Poker. In this article, we will tell you about its features and why the network abandoned Football Stars. In honor of this event, a Daily Leaderboard will be held from October 4 to 31, 2021.
Speed Poker is back
Fast-fold poker and Spin&Go formats have become the most popular development of the last decade in the online poker industry. Of the top poker sites, only the iPoker Network was unable to successfully add a quick fold game, allowing it to have more regular tables at most stakes than its main competitors.
Almost a year ago, to increase the popularity of this poker variant, the network launched a rather odd version: Top Trumps Football Stars Poker, 5-max tables with a unique design, three jackpots (shared with a local casino), and 7% rake. However, even at one stake (20€) during all this time, "Stars Poker" could not attract more than 40-50 connections during peak hours.

Classic Speed Poker has been reinstated to all iPoker skins on October 1, 2021.
It still has a separate tab in the client with a standard design. Besides that, the format has the following features:
- Only two stakes available: NL5€ and NL10€
- 6.66% rake with caps of 0.50€ and 2€
- Purchase from 40BB
Daily leaderboard
Yesterday, on the first Friday of the new-old format, we spotted only stable traffic at NL10€, although the number of connections didn't cross the 30 mark. There was almost no action at NL5€. To encourage players to sit down at these tables, the network announced a new promotion:
From October 4 to 31, 2021, the Daily Speed Poker Leaderboard promo will reward €100 in "Free Blinds"*
*Free Blinds is an analog of Cash Dollars. Such balance can be seen in the cashier and right at the table to the left of the nickname. The validity period is 7 days after receipt. FBs are transferred to the balance after being played in pots.
Scoring points
Points toward the leaderboard will be awarded for any pocket pairs (5 points) and for a showdown victory with different combinations:
- Straight: 3 points
- Flush: 5 points
- Full house: 7 points
- Four of a kind: 10 points
- Straight flush and Royal flush: 20 points
You must opt-in to participate in the promotion ("Leaderboards" section with the "Opt-in" button).
Prizes
The best 100 players will get into prizes daily. Payouts are divided into 3 levels:
- 1st-10th place, 50FB at 0.05€.
- 11-50 place, 25FB at 0.05€.
- 51-100 place, 10FB at 0.05€.
Hence, bonuses are small, but almost all players will cash in. In October, such points and the subsequent FB wagering at these tables will be the main incentives for maintaining amateur traffic in fast-fold poker.
Most likely, this promotion can become regular so that Speed Poker doesn't sink again.
