On September 22, 2025, Champion Poker (iPoker Network) announced the release of the highly anticipated version of its game client for Mac OS. Our team has installed it and played the first hands, giving you firsthand impressions.
The iPoker Network game client (Champion Poker, RedStar Poker, Guts Poker) is recognized as one of the most reliable and stable, being developed by Playtech, one of the largest gaming holdings in the world. However, in 2025, they still did not have a native version for a community that represents nearly 20% of the entire global market.
On September 22, 2025, Champion Poker (iPoker) officially announced the release of the native Mac OS version of its game client.
The game client is updated to the latest version released by Playtech this year.
The installation process is simple. After creating your account with Worldpokerdeals, simply select Mac in the download section of the poker room's website and download a file of approximately 200MB. By double-clicking, the installation takes less than 2 minutes, and the "Championpoker Poker" application will be available in your Mac's Applications folder.
The lobby is the same as the Windows client (latest version). A vertical menu on the left provides access to all games (Hold'em, Omaha, Twister, MTT, Casino, Sportsbook), software settings, and profile. The main window displays the list of tables, tournaments, or promotions.
Remember that the iPoker software only displays the opponent's nickname once the player has posted the big blind. The application is fluid* and runs without any lag. The animations don't
overload the system, and the colors are easy on the eyes.
The software's settings are comprehensive:
Unfortunately, the iPoker Tools software is still available only for Windows, so advanced table management and HUD will only be available to users on that platform until the add-on developer decides to release a Mac version.
Interestingly, the buttons to minimize/maximize or close the software do not follow the standard Mac aesthetic, as they are located in the upper right corner and are blank squares instead of
color-coded round ones.
*Our tests were conducted on an M4 Pro MacBook Pro.
The software requires at least Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) or later, which was released in 2013. Therefore, computers with Intel and M1/M2/M3/M4 chips are supported.
Regarding the HUD and supporting software, the following programs are currently compatible with Mac OS, so we expect them to allow advanced statistics in iPoker:
Compatibility across software platforms is crucial for the organic growth of any poker room. With the release of its Mac OS version, Champion Poker (iPoker) is on par with the best online poker rooms, including GGPoker, WPT Global, and CoinPoker. We can expect a new influx of players from Mac users who are uncomfortable using virtual machines to play.
