On April 2, 2021, another update was rolled out at GGPoker. Its main feature is the addition of PLO5 $2-$40k and a new Daily PLO5 Leaderboard with $5,000 in prizes.

Omaha is the new black

We are now fully convinced that poker rooms are paying more and more attention to Omaha. GGNetwork in less than one year:

  • Changed the rake structure, making it regular with 5% and caps
  • Expanded the range of games: from PLO2 to PLO40k
  • Held a major festival with $7,000,000 guaranteed — Omalohic Series

And today's update will allow the network to further strengthen its leading position across online poker sites where to play Omaha in terms of traffic and game portfolio.

On April 2, 2021, GGPoker introduced 5-Card Omaha tables with bets ranging from $0.01/$0.02 to $200/$400.

Within the first hour, after the update was completed, 5 full tables were played at the $5/$10 stake, and overall their total number approached one hundred. The rake will be the same as in PLO4 — 5% with caps from 1BB to 3BB. The minimum purchase is 25BB.

$5,000 Daily PLO5 Leaderboard

Right away, a new daily race was introduced for the new format. Its structure is no different from similar promos for other poker formats.

Points towards the PLO5 leaderboard are awarded for the number of raked hands played at a given stake. Happy hours are available daily from 10:00 to 11:00 CET time, giving a coefficient of 1.5x to all points. The prize is divided into 9 limits, payments are processed in C$.

Most likely, as the format becomes more popular, the overall prize pool will grow.

The launch of PLO5 in the GGPoker Network rooms will allow it to boost its traffic and reach 2nd place in the PokerScout rating and reduce the gap in the total number of cash tables from PokerStars, which is now only 30%. GGNetwork has overcome PokerStars in Omaha for a long time.
