PokerStars will be leaving a new country. Starting March 27, 2025, players from Poland will no longer be able to access the poker room. In our article, we will explain PokerStars' decision and the options available to players in this country.

Pokerstars Leave Poland

Business Decision

On March 27, 2025, PokerStars will cease operations in Poland, meaning players from that country can no longer access the poker room.

Last year, PokerStars closed its doors in Croatia, Peru, and the Czech Republic. This time, the reasons were not changes in local gaming legislation but Flutter's plans to optimize its operations in fast-growing markets. This is even considering that PokerStars faces much less competition in Poland than in other countries.

Funds in Polish players' accounts will be available for withdrawal until March 27. After this date, players must contact customer service, who will provide detailed instructions upon request.
All unplayed tournament tickets and bonuses will be converted into cash and available for withdrawal.

Polish players will still be able to participate in PokerStars live series.

What should players in Poland do?

PokerStars joins other sites such as 888Poker and partypoker who also left the country, adding that legalizing poker income in Poland is nearly impossible. Some regulars have decided to leave the country and move to Austria, Slovenia, or Portugal. For players still living in the country, there is a significant list of offshore sites that continue to operate:

  • Those looking for 24/7 action could turn to GGPoker. The software and website are available in Polish.
  • Those looking for a HUD and high rakeback can play at ACR Poker.
  • A Chico Poker Network skin like BetOnline would be ideal if a soft field is a high priority.
  • The more exotic option for Polish poker players may be poker apps like ClubGG or PPPoker, to which Worldpokerdeals provides secure access.
