Triton Poker CEO Andy Wong told the press about the brand's plans to expand its presence in the live poker market. In the coming years, in addition to the Triton Super High Roller with buy-ins from $15,000 to $200,000, there will also be a mid-stakes series.

Since 2016, Triton Poker has been associated with very expensive tournaments involving the best high rollers in the company of Asian businessmen.

Soon, the series will become an analog of the WSOP and WPT, with a wide selection of tournaments with different buy-ins. This is based on statements from Triton CEO Andy Wong:

“Rest assured that Triton will be more accessible to players in the coming years. There will be a series of mid-stakes events and expanded programming so that more people can have a unique experience on the platform we have created.”

The brand's plans are aligned with its popularity, as events like the Triton Super High Roller in March 2025 in Jeju, Korea, set two records:

  1. $25,000 tournaments: 389 entries
  2. $100,000 tournaments: 285 entries

Thus, lower buy-in events can easily attract hundreds of players, just as the WSOP or WPT do today.

Wong also said that some team members were already traveling to different European and Asian cities to scout for ideal locations for the new festivals.

Why is Triton Mid-Stakes predicted to be successful?

Triton Poker already runs online satellites for its high-buy-in tournaments on WPN, GGPoker, and WPT Global. Online qualifiers for the new series' events could attract even more players. It's even possible that the idea of having its own poker room could be revived.

In addition, the brand has a unique combination that increases the likelihood of the new series' success:

  • A team led by Andy Wong, who came to poker after eSports.
  • Contacts with dozens of famous professional players.
  • A proprietary app for monitoring tournament progress.
  • A well-established content creation system, including live streams in several languages.
  • Connections with Asian entrepreneurs and poker fans.

Considering Andy Wong's words and his team's experience, we may see the first stop of the Triton Mid Stakes in 2026.
