iPoker: Poker supplier of the year
Last week we reported that GGPoker had won the "Online poker operator of the year" award in SiGMA Americas. eGaming Review (EGR) recognized the best B2B companies in the industry last week.
Playtech (iPoker Network) was named Poker supplier of the year in the EGR B2B Awards 2022, a ceremony held on 15 June 2022, in The Brewery, London.
There were 42 categories, including betting and poker software, payments, and mobile. The judging process is supported by Deloitte Adjudication with external judges, looking for impartial results.
The shortlisted for the Poker supplier of the year category were:
- Relax Gaming (Unibet Poker)
- TVBet (Live-games platform)
- Playtech (iPoker Network)
The judges decided iPoker deserved the award. Other companies awarded in the ceremony include Worldpay (Payments company, beating Paysafe) and 1account ID (Compliance & KYC Supplier)
"Poker is a key vertical for Playtech, and we are very proud of our amazing team and their dedication to creating an innovative and entertaining Poker product! " said Playtech in a short press release via social networks.
Why iPoker?
iPoker is one of the most booming networks since 2021, reaching the TOP5 in 2022. Besides entering regulated markets like Switzerland or the Netherlands, the network has taken other steps towards improving its offer:
- In early 2021, launched a built-in HUD
- In late 2021, Speed Poker (fast-fold poker) was reengineered
- In 2022, announced a record tournament series with €3,000,000 GTD
Let's recall iPoker is still a semi-friendly pro network, as their hand histories are available and compatible with trackers, HUDs are legal, but table selection has been restricted.
